President Vladimir Fortov informed Vladimir Putin that the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Sciences of the USA in the near future will begin to implement a series of other joint projects, including the study of space and Venus.
Vladimir Fortov during a personal meeting said the head of state on the outcome of the return trip of the delegation of the RAS in the US, during which there was a real breakthrough – foreign scholars have shown genuine interest in cooperation with Russian colleagues and hurried to agree on the implementation of joint projects.
Some of these projects have traditionally regard to carbon energy, climate research, Nonproliferation of nuclear technology and weapons, environmental protection and development of the Arctic.
However, the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences most pleased with the fact that Russian scientists were able to negotiate with their American counterparts on the implementation of projects to study and space exploration.
«We managed to agree on some other projects on space exploration, including the study of Venus, but before these projects are called into question”, – said President Vladimir Fortov, stressed that scientists of the two countries, “there has been a clear trend to work together.”
