From the first January 2015 the use of devices iPhone and iPad for the citizens of the Russian Federation would be illegal.

The reason for that The new Law on the storage of personal data, it will come into force from January next year, according to which all personal information about the user data to be stored exclusively in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The problem is that Apple does not have its own servers in Russia, all user information securely hides the manufacturer in California, that is transferred to a server in the United States, which, respectively, with the first of January will qualify as violation of the Law.

By the way, Apple is not the only company that would be in a similar situation, many software vendors and devices, including the owners of social networks are not so much time to prepare everything necessary, including containers long-distance transport.

It should also be noted that the original entry into force of this Act was planned in September 2016, which is a more realistic date for the preparation, however, the current situation in the world is forcing the Russian government “protect” its citizens and the State Duma in urgently adopted the amendment, which accelerated the process of the Act came into force at the beginning of next year.
