Poll: More than half of Russians are afraid of surveillance via webcam – Investkafe

Slightly more than half (52%) of the residents of the Russian Federation are seriously worried that they are being watched with a web camera computer.

These are the results of the analytical study of international B2B International and “Kaspersky Lab”. On the last page of the electronic states that approximately a quarter of Russians (26%) are trying to seal or somehow close to their devices camera lenses. One in twenty (5%) does the same thing with the cameras on mobile devices.

Despite the fact that 34% of respondents do not believe in the possibility of using cameras to electronic surveillance, analysts emphasize LK – Webcam actually are often in the hands of cybercriminals effective tool for spying. In most cases, hackers are thus trying to find someone’s secrets or gain access to financial services.
