Apple held a large cleaning in App Store – Ferra

According to the company SourceDNA, specializing in security, not so long ago, Apple has experienced a large-scale violation of the privacy policy online store App Store. Because of the shortcomings in the official store has been found 256 applications that use private API to the cathedral user data such as email addresses Apple ID, installed applications, serial numbers, and so on.

In general, these 256 applications have been downloaded about a million times, they are used Youmi SDK, the Chinese side of the platform, most of the downloads exactly in China. This seems to application developers in this case innocent, SDK uploads the collected data to Youmi, and application developers do not even know about it.

Apple acknowledged the problem, made in the App Store clean, and is now cooperating with developers to help create them bezopasnoye versions of applications.
