Media: Iran to launch into orbit three satellites of its own production – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, October 5 – RIA Novosti. Iran is about to launch into orbit three new satellites of its own production, according to agency Fars.

This statement was made by Deputy Head of the Iranian Space Agency Hamid Fazeli on the sidelines of a ceremony dedicated to the beginning of World Space Week in Tehran. According to Fazeli, the main task of the three Iranian satellite, named “Zafar”, “Tolu” and “Autsat” is the transfer of images of the surface of the earth to ground stations.

In May Fazeli said that the launching of satellites planned for Over the next Iranian calendar year, from March 2015 to March 2016, respectively.

“Run two more satellites that are currently under construction, including satellites” Sharifsat “and” Nahid “, too, is in the plans of the Iranian Space Agency “- said Fazeli.

In February 2014, Iranian experts have presented two new satellites of its own production – “Tadbir” (“Wisdom”) and “Khaleej-e Fars” (“Persian Gulf”), which are designed to capture the Earth’s surface, relaying information in a secure mode, and emergency information in case of emergencies.
