Expenditure on work station “North Pole-2015″ amounted to 205 million rubles – Kommersant

The costs of the functioning of the drifting station “North Pole-2015″ amounted to 205 million rubles. Tass, reported the Ministry of Environment to finalize the station. “The organization of the drifting station is today a proven, economical and efficient method of obtaining comprehensive information on the state of the environment in the Arctic,” – noted in the department, adding that the work of the station was carried out in the framework of the state program “Environmental Protection”. At the same time the heads of the Ministry of Environment believes that such an expedition should be not a single character, and be regular.

Today icebreaker “Kapitan Dranitsin” delivered all the 17 members of the polar expedition to Murmansk, where they plane go home. Icebreaker moved away from the dock in the port of Murmansk on August 5, and in six days reached 86 degrees north latitude, where the drifting station. Evacuation stations planned to complete another 10 August but the fog prevented to do so on time, and it ended on August 12.
