“Wikipedia” has published a user guide in the event of blocking – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, August 24 – RIA Novosti / Prime. Internet encyclopedia “Wikipedia”, the access to which in Russia can be blocked on Tuesday published an article with instructions for the user to bypass the blockage.

“This page contains instructions for users in case the” Wikipedia “is blocked in your country. The text of this manual may change rapidly as the situation evolves. Stay tuned for updates and rule safely” – is written on the page.

When it is emphasized that the Bypass is not breaking the law.

Earlier Monday Roskomnadzor announced that he had sent a lock operators index page of the site “Wikipedia”, containing information on prohibited drugs. Since the “Wikipedia” uses the HTTPS, not allowing operators to determine the individual pages can be locked entire life.

The page has been entered in the register of banned information to address Chernojarsky District Court of the Astrakhan region. By law, a decision to make a page or site to the registry can be challenged within three months.
