Rights holders require eternal lock RuTracker through the courts – Ferra

As expected, on Monday, October 12 rights holders have filed a lawsuit demanding a life-long lockout of the popular torrent tracker RuTracker.org. This was reported by the publication “News” referring to Leonid Agronova, head NFMI (National Federation of the music industry). Note that the members of the federation are the recording industry giants such as Sony Music, Universal Music, Warner Music, EMI and other companies.

Copyright holders declare an attempt is made of pre-trial settlement. Earlier Roskomnadzor asked them not to hurry with the suit and tried to help resolve the matter peacefully. The Office has proposed its own platform for negotiations, the parties were on neutral territory, but the team Rutracker refused to meet, and the copyright holders have decided to consider negotiations ripped off.

The administration Rutracker thus refers to the inability to remove all copyright content without close cooperation with owners, but they supposedly do not go forward, and Roskomnadzor simply insisting on the removal of “all illegal.” The team is also preparing Rutracker workarounds for its users in the event of a real life-long lockout.
