“All pirate sites exist at the expense of the advertising that is placed on them, and the ads are often placed reputable and respected companies and brands,” – he said at a meeting of the Board of Wolin legislators at the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in the State Duma.

The deputy minister recalled that a few weeks ago, the agency published a “list of 10 most placed brands that we found on sites where there are pirated products.” “These brands have been extremely interesting – it brands such as Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Gillette and even by Microsoft. They have placed their ads on pirated sites”, – he said.
