Rosatom introduced the first domestic 3D-printer for metallic materials – Lenta.ru

Rosatom exhibition “Innoprom 2016″ introduced the first domestic industrial 3D-printer for metallic materials. This “Lente.ru” reported the press service of the state corporation.

The head sample of 3D-printers created by experts. State scientific center “TSNIITMASH” (included in the machine-building division of Rosatom – “AEM”) together with the scientific division of Rosatom ( “Science and Innovation”). The device is equipped with a laser power of 1000 watts and a three-axis scanning optical system. Predictive print speeds range from 15 to 70 cubic centimeters per hour, which corresponds to the characteristics of the foreign analogues. As a raw material metal powders may be used based on iron, titanium, aluminum, nickel and cobalt.

Software for domestic printer TSNIITMASH also been designed by specialists. According to representatives of Rosatom, proprietary software allows you to fully solve the issues related to information security, industrial espionage, the possibility of unauthorized data.
