MOSCOW, March 24 -. RIA Novosti researchers from the UK have found evidence that in the tomb of the world-famous playwright William Shakespeare missing his skull, which was probably stolen, The Independent newspaper reported.

British researchers have studied the burial site using ground penetrating radar and came to the conclusion that the skull was likely stolen. The newspaper, citing archaeologist Kevin Kollsa Staffordshire University, wrote about the “mysterious and significant alteration” in the grave.

“The scan results indicate that something happened in the part that housed the head Because we assume that someone could compromise the integrity (this part of the grave).”
