Superconducting Collider began to build in Dubna – RIA Novosti

Collider NICA (Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility) will be created in the Moscow region at the Joint Institute for nuclear research, based on superconducting accelerator Nuclotron. Dubna Collider will explore the transition of nuclear matter under extreme conditions, the new state called quark-gluon matter. Its launch is planned for 2017. The intention to participate in the creation of the collider expressed Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
