Academicians awarded the Russian State Prize in Science and Technology – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, June 9 – RIA Novosti The State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology for the year 2015 was awarded to academics Erik Galimov, Sergey Lukyanov, Evgeni Sverdlov and Sergei Nedospasova corresponding presidential decree on Thursday at a briefing. Kremlin announces presidential aide Andrei Fursenko.

Galimov was awarded for the development of scientific direction “Geochemistry of carbon isotopes” theory of formation of diamonds, as well as research in the field of Petroleum geology and biogeochemical processes. Winner of the proposed method is a reliable estimate of reserves and exploration work plan, developed and experimentally confirmed the concept of the formation of the diamond, and suggested physical and chemical mechanism of the origin and evolution of life on Earth.

Lukyanov and Sverdlov were awarded for their cooperation in developing and implementing the technology and the structure of the functions of complex genomes. Designed their complex technologies entered the world’s arsenal of methods of research taking place in living cells process. Winners ensure the accelerated development of biological and biomedical research in Russia and in the world.

Nedospasova State Prize was awarded for a series of fundamental and applied studies on the molecular mediators of immunity, including the work on the creation of unique biomedical models.

According to the tradition of awarding State Prize laureates will be held in the Kremlin on Russia Day, June 12.
