VKS Commander: Russia is working on a seventh-generation fighter – Rosbalt.RU


 Russia is working on creation of the seventh-generation fighter. This was stated by Commander of the Air Space Forces Colonel-General Viktor Bondarev.

 “If we stop, then stop forever. (Go – Ed.). Work and sixth, and perhaps seventh (generation). Many say I have no right, “- Bondarev said, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

 Bondarev, according to RBC, said that the sixth-generation aircraft being developed in manned and unmanned. How much time may be needed to establish such a drone is not clear.

 At the moment the Russian Armed Forces are armed with only a generation fighters 4 ++ also continuing test aircraft T-50 (PAK FA project) of the fifth generation. So far, only one country in the world is armed with a fifth-generation fighter – US aircraft F-22 and F-35

 Earlier Bondarev said that the test fifth-generation fighter T-50 will be completed in 2016, in 2017 the aircraft will go into service of the Armed Forces.

 According to Chief of the Air Force Viktor Bondarev space, test promising aviation complex tactical aircraft (PAK FA) T-50 pass successfully.

 

 “Complex Reaffirms all its characteristics. And I think that according to the program in the next year, we will complete test and start receiving in 2017 the T-50 “, – he said
