“Soyuz” with astronauts docked with the ISS – BBC Russian

Russian manned spacecraft “Soyuz TMA-16M” has successfully docked with the International Space station in automatic mode.

“Union” delivered to the space station crew following long expedition: Russians Gennady Padalka and Michael Kornienko and NASA astronaut Scott Kelly.

Kornienko and Kelly will spend on the ISS for about a year and perform a series of medical experiments that help mankind closer to the implementation of deep space missions.

On board the ISS, this watch can be the longest in the history of the station, which orbits the Earth at an altitude of 400 km.

The Russian cosmonauts in the past times higher than one year in orbit in the years of the Russian station “Mir”.
