President United States Barack Obama said that currently the United States authorities are actively cooperating with American private corporations, offering innovation, with the aim to organize by 2030, an expedition of astronauts to Mars.
“We have identified a clear goal of the next phase in the history of space exploration America: to send humans to Mars by 2030 and return them safely to Earth. The ultimate goal is that one day people could stay there (on Mars) for a long time,” wrote the US President in an article published on the website of si-EN-EN.
