Sunday, October 16, the Russian space Agency has reported successful separation of the modules of the project “ExoMars-2016″ before landing on the red planet – landing demonstration module Schiaparelli (“list”) separated from the orbital module TGO (Trace Gas Orbiter – orbit module). Next “Schiaparelli” will continue to land on the planet, and the Orbiter TGO on Monday, 17 October, in a few maneuvers to enter orbit satellite of Mars and to stay there until the end of 2016. Landing “Schiaparelli” on the planet is scheduled for October 19, 2016, at approximately 17:48 Moscow time on October 19, the module will start transmitting a signal from the surface of Mars. Receive and record signals at different stages of the planting will be carried by three Mars probe – Mars Express (ESA) Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (NASA) and the TGO. On the Ground relayed signal will take the combined ground segment of the project “Eczemas” station of the Russian space Agency in Bear lakes and oceans.

the Russian-European mission “ExoMars-2016″ was launched on 14 March 2016 from Baikonur cosmodrome with the launch of the carrier rocket “proton-M” spacecraft within the orbital module TGO demonstration of the descent module Schiaparelli.
For the Russian space industry this is not the first Mars mission. The program of Mars exploration had begun in the USSR in 1960, however, most of the projects were not successful. Only in the early 1970s in the framework of the “Mars” was sent to the spacecraft Mars-2 and Mars-3, which managed to successfully reach Mars, but due to bad weather conditions managed to land only lander Mars-3 – the first time in the history of space exploration, 20 seconds, he passed pictures of the red planet. The probes themselves have worked in orbit for about a year.
In 2012, Russia had the opportunity to return to the Mars program, in cooperation with the European space Agency (ESA) – after due to serious cuts in its budget, NASA withdrew from ESA project “Eczemas”. In 2013, between Roscosmos and ESA signed an agreement under which Russia became a full member of both missions. As reported by RIA “Novosti”, the probe TGO, whose visit to Mars is expected on Tuesday, have two Russian instrument: neutron detector FREND and spectrometer ACS. The Rover “Pasteur” will be equipped with Russian scientific equipment, a landing platform for him to create a NPO. Lavochkin.
“Paster” will be busy with geological investigations and the search for traces of life in the radius of the landing site, the probe TGO is designed to examine the trace rare elements in the planet’s atmosphere and search for deposits of water ice.
As with previous Mars mission, “Schiaparelli” will land in Equatorial regions of the planet, on the plateau of Meridian. In 2004, they successfully got the Rover opportunity. A plateau is considered to be the bottom of an ancient, the study of which using the tools of the “Schiaparelli” will help to obtain new information about life on Mars in the past.
Photographs taken of the landing module “Schiaparelli” during and after landing on the surface of Mars, can be seen as early as Thursday. Mounted on the module camera DECA needs to obtain at the time of planting 15 high quality pictures. Also the process of planting “Schiaparelli” will be written by the European probe “Mars Express”, working on the orbit of this planet since 2003. With these data, scientists will be able to improve the design of the Rover “Pasteur” to safely deliver this equipment and a landing platform on the surface of Mars.
