Astronomers from Germany, Estonia, USA and Russia are unable to detect periodic changes in luminosity of the star KIC 8462852. Earlier this colleagues astronomers have linked the presence of around the sun alien megastruktur. On this study a paper was published on the website arXiv.org.
Scientists using data Sonneborghe Observatory in Germany, showed that during 1934-1995 years, the luminosity of KIC 8462852 not changed. Thus, astronomers have questioned the findings of their colleagues who, using the materials of the Kepler mission, has registered the change in the luminosity of KIC 8462852.
Discussion about KIC 8462852 conducted over the last year. Previously conducted analysis of films conducted by the authors involved in this study showed that the luminosity of KIC 8462852 not changed. These findings refute the work of other scientists, in particular, Bradley Schaefer.

the Star KIC 8462852 is at a distance of 1480 light-years from Earth in the constellation Cygnus. Its mass and radius about 1.5 times larger than the Sun. The star is interesting because, as suggested by a number of astronomers, its luminosity with strict periodicity is changed to 22 percent.
There are several explanations for this phenomenon. Among them — the presence of a comet around the sun, the clouds, which, however, requires a too large number of such celestial bodies in orbit around the star (about 650 thousand). Another hypothesis is the existence of KIC 8462852 around artificial structures.
